A Call for Courage – Save The Cowardly Lion!
We are looking for a Hollywood angel to acquire the original Cowardly Lion costume worn by actor Bert Lahr throughout “The Wizard of Oz” so that it might find an archival home at The Academy Motion Picture Museum. In recent months, some of the most iconic screen-worn wardrobe of our time found new homes in Mainland China, Macau, and Dubai; and most likely these Hollywood treasures will never return to the United States. Please save the Cowardly Lion costume from a similar fate!

Phoenix Community Alliance Welcome the Museum of Television
Museum of Television President James Comisar was warmly welcomed by Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Community Alliance President Don Keuth, and other leaders when it was announced Thursday that the MOT plans to open a preview center within one of Downtown Phoenix’s historic buildings or museums by 2Q of next year. On view were artifacts ranging from Pamela Anderson’s swimsuit from Baywatch to George Reeves’ iconic Superman uniform, which were enjoyed by the many who were in attendance.
Saving the Rifleman
The Comisar Collection has acquired the Lucas McCain signature Western shirt worn by actor Chuck Connors on “The Rifleman” (1958-1963) including in the opening titles. It originates from his son, Jeff Connors, and it will be exhibited alongside the original hand-painted “Starring Chuck Connors” title art that was previously in the collection of the Pacific Title Archive.
